So it's not you it's madden. The best way to change this is go into Staff > Formation Sub > then start replacing your 1s and 2s with your 3s and 4s for certain formations you think they'd fit it. Doesn't guarantee not being subbed out, but it does guarantee who is on the field for different formations.You have to manage you sub out/sub in, and also make sure on your weekly training your starters aren’t practicing in full pads every time.
