The National Aviary is home to one of Pittsburgh’s best new events venues! Our events team is dedicated to providing high-quality events working mainly in our newest event space, The Garden Room, which opened in 2020. As an Events Coordinator, you can learn how to create unique events in a nonprofit environment.
The aviary opened in 1952 as the city-funded Pittsburgh Aviary-Conservatory. It was expanded to 25,000 square feet by 1967 and remained a popular institution for many years.
