I'm working on a 1997 base model as my donor car. I picked it up after looking for around six months for a killer deal.

I left my car in 4th gear, but I think any gear will work. 2. In order to do this, you need to take off the valve cover. In order to do this, you have to take off all the connecting parts first. The foam sealant that is supposed to prevent water from leaking into the trunk was soaking wet, and filled with cracks. Here is a simple fix and all it took was some time and RTV.
